On a winding road in the hills above St. Helena in the Napa Valley, our challenge was to build a "Modern Mediterranean" villa; providing great care in creating the symmetry and finish details to realize the client's design requirements. Construction began using ICF  -Integrated Concrete Form - utilizing 100% polystyrene.

 

All interior and exterior plaster was color integrated to achieve the desired effect. In order to create clean lines and stark transitions between materials, most door trim, crown-style moldings were eliminated.

 

The villa is equipped with a solar hot water heater, radiant and domestic heating system and a solar PV electric system for maximum energy efficiency.
